Truly my area of expertise. I recommend a full 90 minutes with time after the massage to enjoy a bottle of water and to recover before driving. You start face up so I can massage the face, scalp and ears before I start using oils or creams. Then I use an essential oil called Euphoria, you inhale the oil deeply several times to receive the most benefit. Next I massage the neck and shoulders, the arms and hands before moving to the legs and feet. Abdominal massage is available if you like. Once you move face down, I work the back of the legs and feet before moving to the back. Your back massage lasts approximately 20 minutes. I then leave the room giving you plenty of time to rejoin the living and get dressed.
Structural Integration is known by some as Rolfing. That is the trademarked name used by the School in Colorado. SI is a series of 10 massages that begin by opening and prepping the body for deep work, then working from the feet up to place the body in alignment with gravity. Range of motion, posture and physical performance are all greatly enhanced.
Each session includes before and after photos, 60-90 minutes on the table and repatterning exercises to enhance the work being done on the table. The sessions are typically done weekly, but can be adjusted for busy schedules.
Low back pain is in season. Find relief in as little as 20 Minutes. Includes an at home exercise that takes about 6 minutes 2-3 times a week to keep the low back pain away. $30 is all it costs. Wear shorts and a t-shirt.
Sciatica, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciaitis and a whole lot more can be fixed using a combination of massage techniques. Utilizing deep tissue, myofascial, and movement repatterning, many aches and pains can be relieved either permantantly or for longer periods of time than a typical massage. This combination of techniques is less painful and invasive with a quicker recovery than surgery. It is best to wear shorts and for women a sports bra or tank top just in case.
It is possible to go deeper into the tissue with this type of massage than deep tissue. The process includes direct pressure to a tight area and then holding that pressure for several minutes. This is followed by very slow movement and release of the tissue at a very deep level. MyoFascial Release is very gentle and at no time should it cause pain. April 2009, I attended a Pelvic Fascial Release Workshop in Phoenix. I learned very specific techniques to align the hips and release the tissue directly above the hips and in the legs. Previously I received training that works on the entire shoulder girdle, very gently pulling the arms to relieve the tension throughout the shoulders and arm pits.
All my clients agree it feels wonderful when I stop. Deep tissue can be intense and sometime quite painful. Everyone agrees the relief from chronic pain and discomfort is worth the 2-3 minutes of intensity. Hence the joke. And I have never done anything to anyone I have not experienced myself.
